Bob & I were going to be in Bangkok for a few days as we transited to Cambodia. We had been to Bangkok several times but this was the first time we had actually looked for a guide for one of the days we would be there. In all our trips we had never been to the floating market & Bob had never been up the River Kwai. We were luckily able to find a day when Tong was available.
We spent an absolutely wonderful day with her. It started at 630am and ended more than 12 hours later. She showed not only the tourist trodden canals of the floating market but we also spent time heading off the beaten path down canals lined by homes and local business’. It was so peaceful and interesting to be out there. Tong is happy to point out aspects of life on the canals that you would never notice if you didn’t have a local with you. After this we headed up to the Tiger Temple where it was amazing to see these huge creatures at such close quarters. Tong loves these animals and all the others at the temple. Her affection for them all is so obvious in her joy.
We then headed on to the River Kwai for a ride on the railroad and a walk along the river. This is a beautiful area. Then it was on to a restaurant by the river for a great lunch. Tong always makes sure you are well supplied with wonderful food throughout the whole day! It was a wonderful day out. Tong is such a pleasure. She is funny, professional, delightful and just a joy to be with. She loves what she does and loves sharing information about her country with visitors. After spending just one day with her you leave feeling like you have made a friend as you have gradually learnt about her childhood, family & glimpses of Thai life that you can only get from a local. I highly recommend her.

Having read some great reviews of Tong on tripadvisor.com, we booked her for a day in January 2008. Tong picked us up at our hotel right on time in her very comfortable SUV & we set off for the most memorable day of our trip to Thailand. Our day included a visit to the floating markets, Tiger Temple, elephant ride & River Kwai with lots of other interesting stops on the way.
Everything about our day was made so much more personal & enjoyable by Tong's thoughtfulness & knowledge of the people, culture, food & places we visited. We would not have had the opportunity to experience & taste the things we did without her. I would not want to spoil anybody else's surprises of their day with Tong by going into every detail, but cannot recommend her highly enough. Tong makes your day so special & one you will always remember. Our day with Tong is best summed up by the smiles on our faces & the big hugs at the end of the day & we can't wait to come back to Thailand to have another adventure with her.

Our day tour with Tong was one of the most memorable highlights of our holiday to Thailand and we felt privileged to have had her as our guide. Her warmth, generosity, humour, and bubbly personality ensured our day tour out of Bangkok was not only filled with all the wonderful sights she showed us but also filled with lots of laughter and memories to cherish always. I have already and will continue to recommend her services to anyone who is travelling to Bangkok, and of course when we plan our next trip to Bangkok booking another tour with her will be a priority for us....Fishing village next time!!!
Being a new traveller to Bangkok one is often unsure as to what to see or fit into a day, however Tong ensured our day was jam-packed with the maximum amount of sights and activities that we could fit in during a 14hr time frame which began at 0630hrs pick up. As a family of six we had booked a VIP van which was so lovely to cruise in and having Tong in the back with us was great for all the information that she shared. Our day included the following: Temple visit, Royal china painting complex, wood carving, floating market, tiger temple, lunch at a Thai restaurant, monkey feeding in the wild, bathing with elephants in the river, and a quick visit to the river Kwai before driving back to Bangkok. Loved it all however our favourite thing for us all was definitely bathing with the elephants in the river - Tong and her nephew took so many photos of us which was absolutely fantastic.

Being our first trip to Bangkok, we booked the services of Charlie (one of Tong's guides) for 2 days for our family of 6. We did the full day Kanchanaburi tour visiting the Floating Market, Tiger Temple and River Kwai and also a half day city tour visiting the Grand Palace and Chinatown. Our experience with Charlie was awesome as he was very accommodating, professional and most important - knew all the places we visit well. We had the privilege of understanding the history and culture of Thailand, as he is an avid history buff! Our visit to Chinatown was particularly memorable because Charlie was able to help us translate and haggle prices for Chinese produce like fish maw, sea cucumber and other herbs. We had fun eating dim sum from Chinatown too. Charlie also went the extra mile by helping some relatives of ours who arrived a day late arrange for their day tours and accommodation in Bangkok. We will be using Charlie again in our upcoming Bangkok trip end of February 2008 and we are very excited! Charlie comes highly recommended and we will not hesitate to recommend him to our friends as well.

My family and I just returned from a very memorable BKK trip ! And credit goes to Tong and her team of fantastic guides.
I have been a frequent visitor of BKK, but i have never been on a guided tour before, chanced upon Tong's tours in Tripadvisor.com and decided to give them a try. And i was definitely not disappointed, in fact i was overwhelmed by the service provided :)
Nui, was the guide that came to pick us up at the hotel early in the morning, as we were scheduled for a full day of sightseeing at Erawan Waterfalls, the Tiger Temple and The Bridge over River Kwai. Nui, is a very chirpy and cheery guide! And you would be happily surprised that she has a very good command of English, she gave us very detailed explanations of the places we visited. And not forgetting the VIP van that came to pick us up, was really clean and comfortable, it made the travelling so much more enjoyable, my granny even dozed off in the van ha ha..
Although we were travelling with my grandmother, Nui was very patient with her, and even helped to carry her bag and hold on to her when we had to climb up uneven steps. The Erawan Waterfalls was a sight to behold... so beautiful with its blue waters and the waters were filled with lots of fishes! Really well worth the travelling distance.
Next stop was the Tiger Temple, a visit that my whole family was eagerly awaiting, and of cos we were not disappointed! It was a magnificent experience to be able to come so close to these amazing animals, the tiger cubs were so adorable, luckily we had Nui as our guide as she was very experienced and advised us on what to do so that we could get the best out this visit :) Nui, was really fantastic, she brought us along to view the many other attractions at the Tiger Temple besides the tigers themselves, such as Bam Bam the Sun bear, and she also helped us to get many many great photos as mementos of our visit. Every single member of my family enjoyed the tour and heaped praises on Nui's service, because she was so helpful and sweet.
The guided tour became the highlight of the BKK trip, the shopping took a backseat hahaha, till we were back in the country, we were still discussing that the day trip was the best day spent in BKK !
Again i must thank Tong and Nui for the wonderful experience that they have provided to my family and i :) Will call upon their services again when we return to BKK.

My friend and I booked a tour to the Floating Market and Tiger Temple with Tong whilst we were in Bangkok in February 2008. That day was the most fantastic and memorable day of our whole tour around Thailand. Tong is so exceptional. Just one day with Tong and we fell in love with her! It really was a 5 star tour. We were looked after, Fed so well, Cold drinks and Cold refresher towels on the trip to the Floating Market.
The Floating Market is such a vibrant place, full of color and delicious treats. And Tong knows all the right people. Then on to the Tiger Temple. We were always first in line for all the activities there and photo shoots. We had such an enjoyable time. It really was a \"once in a lifetime\" experience with the Tigers. Whilst we were at the Tiger Temple, Tong showed us into a bear enclosure where we met and fed Bam Bam the bear. The relationship that Tong has with Bam Bam is so beautiful. They really do have a wonderful connection!
Tong is such a beatiful lady and so knowledgeable. Her enthusiasm and her wish to treat us so well was exceptional. Tong really is the most beautiful tour guide in all of Thailand. Well she told us she was! Ha! No! she really is! Can't wait to see her again! And next time look forward to the Fishing Village or another of her great tours.
We will remember Tong always! Love you Tong!
